Description

Lipica Stud Farm is the cradle of the Lipizzaners, the noble white horses. Breeding began 400 years ago to meet the exclusive needs and demands of the Habsburgs. A local guide will show you around the estate (own expenses); you will see the whole array of magnificent animals – uncertain dark foals, gentle mares, and proud stallions capable of performing the most amazing figures of the Spanish Riding School.

Passing through a varied landscape, we reach the sparkling Mediterranean. We will drive through coastal cities of Izola and Portorož till we reach the gem of the Slovenian coast which is the medieval town Piran, tucked in between the sea and the mighty town walls. Strong links with Venice in the past are still reflected in the town’s present appearance. The central square boasts eminent historical palaces, the birth house of the maestro Tartini, his monument and his name. We will walk up to the imposing Church of St. George with its Venetian-like bell tower to admire the view over the wonderful mosaic of roofs, streets and squares with the stunning backdrop of the bay. After the sightseeing, you will have time to discover the hidden corners of the town.
